MANUEL DE TERESA
La maison de Madame Manuel
“La maison de Madame Manuel” has become an enclosure of tolerance as a tribute to last century’s brothels: the one named “La Feria”, run by Lysianne-Jeanne Moreau, in Fassbinder’s film “Querelle of Brest”. Or even “Criolla”, the whorehouse in Barcelona described by Jean Genet. Or the provocateurs walks in las Ramblas Avenue (Barcelona), of the legendary Ocaña. Also a tribute to the “free style” films of the 70s from the American independent filmmaker Divine; Jack Smith, the rent boys portrayed on Pasolini’s, Almodovar’s and Mc Namara films during “La Movida” of the 80’s counterculture movement in Madrid.
