Hakuro, an Itoshima Almanac

 

Hakuro is an attempt to bridge the "textual/visual divide" by employing data resulting from two months of intensive fieldwork in the south of Japan in the creation of a community-collaborative visual document, rather than presenting the findings of this social research in the more traditional form of a written text.
